Health Ministry Virtual Meetings… Peer Support, Learning & Conversation
October 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm CDT
An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day Third of the month, repeating until November 16, 2021
Goal: To emphasize the importance of networking, fellowship, learning and peer support for faith community nurses and health ministers as they assist congregations and local communities to better health and well-being.
Each one-hour session offers content discussion on various topics such as the intentional care of the spirit, promotion of whole-person health (balancing body, mind, and spirit), the prevention of disease, creative ministry programming, and current challenges in ministry. Each monthly session will invite participants to a specific topic of interest. One of our health ministry specialists from Pittsburgh Mercy Parish Nurse Team will facilitate and present a brief learning activity (PowerPoint, video clip, case study, short journal article, etc.) and then followed by a Q/A via peer discussion and brainstorming. Each participant receives an agenda with educational tools (website links and etc.) and a post-evaluation form with their Zoom invitation. No preparation is needed by participants. No cost for sessions or written materials. Please join us for this enjoyable time of learning & fellowship… at least try it once! Registration is required in order to receive the private Zoom invitation. For more details, visit at https://www.pittsburghmercy.org/faith-communities/education/#peer-support-learning-and-conversation
