Foundations of Faith Community Nursing

CLASS SCHEDULE:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday format, every 2 weeks. 

TIME:  5pm - 9:30pm Eastern Standard Time. (EST)

SESSION DATES: 2026:  October 5, 6 & 7.  October 19, 20 & 21. and November 2, 3, & 4. With a Dedication Ceremony concluding the sessions on Saturday November 7 at 2pm (EST).  This may be "IN PERSON " OR ON "ZOOM".

ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED AT ALL SESSIONS TO RECEIVE A PIN AND CERTIFICATE.

REQUIREMENTS:  Must be a Registered Nurse, with a current license to practice nursing in the state in which one practices.

We reserve the right to cance the course if there are not enough qualified nurses.

FORMAT:  All sessions are on ZOOM or MICROSOFT TEAMS.

REGISTRATION:  Completed by September 25, 2026. A packet of information to be completed by October 5, 2026 to complete registration. 

GRANTS:  May be applied for, if approved, the cost of the program would be $50.00.   

COURSE OBJECTIVES:  A focus on the core concepts of spiritual formation, professionalism, shalom as health and wholeness, and community, incorporating culture and diversity.

Encourages individual spiritual growth. Developed from a Judeo-Christian theological framework of care and includes other faith traditions.  Includes various ways of thinking and includes the application of the nursing process.  Prepares the FCN for leadership in a collaborative health ministry. Helps sustain an FCN practice.  Collaboration is fostered.
