Continuing Education Symposium: Emergency Preparedness
The Faith Community Nurse Network of the greater Twin Cities provides at least four professional nursing education symposiums each year for contact hour credit. These programs feature perspectives specific to FCN practice and provide attendees the opportunity to learn, share, and network. Advanced Spiritual Care Course
The Advanced Spiritual Care Course is designed to provide nurses with advanced knowledge and skill when providing spiritual care to their patients. This is a 4 week all online course and has been approved for 20 hours of continuing nursing professional development. There are 4 learning module that include a mixture of articles, online resources, PowerPoint notes and recorded presentations. Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course Online at West Virginia University
The West Virginia University School of Nursing offers a Faith Community Nursing course for those individuals interested in helping to address the unique needs of faith-based organizations. The professional practice of faith community nursing focuses on the intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting holistic health and preventing or minimizing illness in a faith community. This is an 8 week all online course.

Transitional Care for Faith Community Nurses
The Transitional Care course is designed to provide the faith community nurse with background knowledge on the needs of community members who are in the process of transitioning in care. This might include from the hospital to home, from the hospital to the nursing home, from the hospital to home with hospice and many other transitional times. The course uses the national Transitional Care Training Program through the Westberg Institute.
