I have a family in our church that needs an advocate for a family member who has lissencephaly. Their request to use the benefits granted for their family member was denied at a state fair hearing. Any feedback or resources you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Sue SteinerI can sympathize with you, but unfortunately I don't have any suggestions.3 years ago

Several sites came up, Pediatric Brain Foundation and Carter Centers for Brain Research in Holoprosencephaly and Related Malformations. This last resource was listed under www.rarediseases.org.. The CDC also has a site under Birth Defects. I used to work at Shriners Hospitals for Children here in Erie, PA and we took care of many children with many rare conditions. I'm not sure if they would be able to help but it would be worth a phone call. Prayers for this family.Show more
