Hello! I am currently a FCN student under the guidance of Lorie Henley. Really loving the class and I just want to see if any of you have suggestions for the following situation:
I am taking this class for my own spiritual growth to help me with my personal ministry but am hoping that the missions that I attend will be interested in forming a FCN ministry, but I do not know if a FCN ministry will be initiated or not. As far as documentation, I did locate the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital FCN Network and Health Ministry - Documentation and Reporting System and I need to check on the cost of that subscription - which I know could be cost prohibitive for me as an individual and for the mission as well. Paper documentation may be the way for me to go. Have any of you used a different EHR? If so would you recommend it for use by others? Also have any of you used your FCN training as a personal ministry - not actually signed on with a faith community in case my missions do not want to initiate a FCN ministry. Even working alone, I would think that documentation of even those encounters and being covered by a malpractice insurance policy would be just as needed. Sorry if this is not the correct place to initiate a discussion like this. Really new to all of this but looking for suggestions! Thanks and blessings to each of you!

They have a YouTube video linked from their page that walks you through the system, and it is $200 for the first purchase, and then for each nurse after, the cost is less. You pay once... not a subscription. We are a network of nurses serving various congregations throughout our small, rural community, and chose to use the same system because community members... and nurses... change congregations, and we want to be able to serve as back up for each other. Thought it made sense to do it this way. We are just getting started and will have our first solid training on this later this month. Show more
The Pittsburgh Mercy Parish Nurse & Health Ministry Program has a health minister lapel pin available for purchase. Use them to help identify health ministry…
