As a qualified spiritual director, I find that I need to be creative in working with many directees. Yes, I know we rely on God's Spirit. But having some tangible, creative offerings in our back pocket can be helpful too. A new book suggestion is "The Gift of Wonder: Creative Practices for Delighting in God" by Christine Aroney-Sine. A great author and past director of the healthcare ministry for Mercy Ships. Or check her website www.Godspacelight.com  The book is a great summer read... fun, practical and churns the wonder in each of us. In fact, SDs need to heed Christine's recommendation "Play, pray, plant and paint... so to recover our childlike sense of wonder."  Enjoy and summer blessings! Amy A.
