I just had to make few comments about our 2022 HMA Conference... Wow!!!
I loved the virtual format and seeing everyone with smiles. I can't express enough gratitude to the HMA Conference Planning Committee (Denise, Julie, Teri and Andreas) for their creativity, commitment, and care in designing such a fabulous conference. Each speaker brought their own individual, presentation style. Some were enthusiastic and energetic, and then others were calm, cool, and collect. Their informal teaching styles made me feel relaxed and refreshed. I felt like a true adult learner... open to a new learning experience and yet realistic that I have lots of life experience to share as I move forward in my vocation & calling. And our annual HMA Report by our President Denise Viker was unique by using SWOT and the Nursing Process... really enjoyed listening to our strengths and successes in 2022. By the end of the conference, I realized that I had more knowledge and confidence in enhancing my FCN practice and in taking the next steps of my Spiritual Direction ministry. My goal is to continue to bring HOPE to every personal engagement and be a "non-anxious presence" to those in need. As one of our presenters did, I close with the words "Benedictus" that were reiterated by John O'Donohue: May you learn to see yourself with the same delight, pride, and expectation with which God sees you in every moment.
In gratitude... and sending my Thanksgiving Blessings to all.
