Hi Everyone,

This is Sharon, reaching out to you personally, not as the Director of the Westberg Institute. I'm thrilled to share that I have enrolled in a program to become certified as a book/writing coach through Author Accelerator. Over the next six months, I will be training and completing practicum work to enhance our writing discussions and provide more comprehensive coaching to writers at every stage of the creative process.

Our writing group aims to turn your writing aspirations into reality. To make our gatherings more accessible and effective, I will be introducing a more structured approach, including free gatherings and activities.

Starting Thursday, July 11, 2024, please join me for a bi-weekly open writing session via Zoom from 5:00-6:30 PM Eastern, 4:00-5:30 PM Central, 3:00-4:30 PM Mountain, and 2:00-3:30 PM Pacific. These sessions welcome everyone—from nervous beginners to experienced writers. Whether you’re unsure where to start, need help finishing what you have started, or simply want some company while you write, this gathering is for you. Write anything you wish: academic articles, stories, poems, memoirs, devotions, or personal experiences. Come as you can and leave when you must. Each meeting will feature a short writing prompt or an in-service on an aspect of writing, followed by group writing time.

Additionally, if you are interested in receiving my feedback on your writing, I will be seeking volunteers for three practicums in the coming months. I will share more details in July. I am also developing a short menu of service offerings based on the most common requests from writers over the years. My participation in the book coach certification program has inspired me to finally bring these ideas to life!
