Course Format:
The Foundations of Faith Community Nursing (Foundations of FCN) course is offered as a hybrid course consisting of in-person, Webex and online modules using Canvas through Augustana University continuing education.

Course Dates
The course will begin with a 2-day in-person event across from Augustana's campus at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (home of the Sanford Faith Community Nursing Center) on March 20 and 21, 2025, as well as a virtual option at that time. A final day wrap up and commissioning event will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the end of the 6-week course. The course will be online between those dates.
Course Cost
$400 | Includes Foundation of FCN Textbook and meals throughout the in-person course days
Requirements for Applicants
Registered nurse with a current, unencumbered license.
Have at least 2-5 years of nursing experience with developed skills in health assessment and problem solving.
Desire or call to learn and grow in your personal faith as you minister to others through whole-person health care.
Bachelor’s degree recommended, but not required
A letter of support from your current pastor, priest or faith community/agency leader.
