Virtual Foundations of Faith Community Nursing

Have you ever felt a calling to expand your nursing practice to intentionally focus on care of the whole person?  Faith Community Nursing (FCN) may be the path for you.

FCN is a specialty of nursing that focuses on the intentional care of the spirit and whole-person health.  FCNs help prevent illness by using the skills that they have acquired through their nursing experiences and integrating this with the faith communities. Some examples of how FCNs do this is through home and hospital visits and calls, educational offerings to church members or the wider community, connection to community resources, care group facilitation, baby blankets and prayer shawl ministry, as well as many other ministries.
