Beverly Bateman Discussion started by Beverly Bateman 2 years ago
I am exploring the development of an electronic documentation system that would allow Faith Community/Parish Nurses to easily capture their activities and any pertinent patient information. One of the reasons for this interest is to be able to substantively show the value of this specialty and its impact on various areas of healthcare, such as reduction in readmissions, referral rates indicating prevention of advanced illness, and transition of care process improvement. There are many other advantages to this specialty as well.

There are three identified goals:

  • Operational on a device that would hold data for upload if not connected to internet or cellular service.
  • Capture data points for research use, showing value of faith community nursing.
  • Be available at little to no cost.

The initial information I would like to ask for your input on relates to data points which can help substantiate this impact. Please jump into this dialog! I look forward to learning from you!
